Acacia Chardonnay’s distinctive minerality comes from Dijon clones planted in the unusual soils of our famous Winery Lake Vineyard in Napa Valley’s Los Carneros American Viticultural Area (AVA). Acacia hand harvests the Chardonnay from three of Winemaker Matthew Glynn’s favorite hillside blocks, which are grafted to clones 96 and 75 for intense, balanced flavors. The region’s complex geographic history is reflected in the shallow, low-nutrient Haire and Diablo soils, which contain both diatoms from an ancient seabed and volcanic rock from the Mayacamas Mountains.
